The Year 7 pupils carried out pond dipping (even finding a newt!), measured the speed of the river flow, practised the capture-mark-release-recapture on wood lice and then used our ‘captives’ to test out our new choice chambers! The group also did quadratting and measured soil temp, pH, moisture, light intensity, wind speed, relative humidity and air temperature.
