The rest of the class had to guess who or what the unwanted visitor was based on the description.

The unwanted visitor
The Year 8 pupils were tasked to write imaginatively and descriptively in no more than 6 lines to give an image of an unwanted visitor.
Sorrowful winters night.Callum
It was Like a frozen blanket smothering, engulfing and suffocating me
I sat there helpless as it silently attacked me from within.
Ferociously it swiped away my senses.
My nose stung like a gushing river eroding metallic rocks.
I sat there, still – helpless – dying inside.
It threatened our worldHolly
Spread as fast as wildfire
Burning our world fast and unbeatable.
Wherever it goes it brings irritation.
We have battled against it; still it comes back to torment us.
It has locked us up but we will break free.
Vicious, savage, brutal.Jem
Prepared to stave you like a knife,
Malicious and monovalent it hovers,
Cautiously it plots a steady path to safety.
Don’t disgruntle the beast
It kills without thought, it flees from nothing.
Take cover!
An unwanted growthZac
like a mould or an illness.
Its mass slowly grows covering every wall
Now sprouting eyes that stare at everything that breathes.
Hastily a sharp grin grows on its face, always grinning like it knows something you don’t.
We try to fight, but it lashes out at the source of the pain; inflicting pain that won’t heal.
The room stained with blood; its mass attaches itself to every wall.
