The children’s leadership and teamwork skills were challenged in a variety of activities including, Rock climbing, mathematical and memory problem solving games, a CCF Army exercise in woodland camouflage, a giant Meccano bridge design and build task and a Ninja Bamboo water transport challenge.
Despite the weather the pupils tackled each challenge ‘head-on’ with smiles all round.
The morning finished with a hearty, well deserved meal of fish and chips.
Excellent collaboration, leadership and ambition were displayed on the day. The Year 5 Pastoral Team and Hurst staff were particularly impressed with the children’s behaviour and positive attitude. Well done Year 5!
