Pennthorpe Sports Day 2022

How wonderful to welcome our parents back on site and see the pure elation of cheering their children and respective houses, on. The action packed day started with the Prep School field events (Long Jump, Shot Put, Javelin, Cricket Ball Throw & Triple Jump) with plenty of points being scored along the way.

At 10.30am, our Pre-Prep raced on space hoppers, ran a sprint race and finished with a whole class cone relay. The children were absolutely brilliant and tried their hardest throughout the morning. Special mention to Miss Goddard (Year 1) who defended her staff space-hopper race title, with plenty of mums and dads joining in the parents race, too.

Our Prep School pupils returned to the track in the afternoon and the finals took place for the 75/100m, 200m, 600/800m, House 4 x 100m relay along with a squadron relay, tug of war and the newly added ‘dance off’.

Huge congratulations to Pallinghurst for their consecutive second win, in as many years, and a huge well done to each of our children on taking part and representing the ‘Pennthorpe Purpose’ so beautifully, especially on what was a very hot day!
