Whilst reading in the library, each time a child encounters a new word or needs clarity on it’s meaning, they are encouraged to look the word up in the dictionary, record this on a leaf and place it on the tree. Not only does this develop research skills, it expands vocabulary through reading. The leaves have grown and grown recently, a HUGE well done to everyone who added a leaf – you will all receive a house point!
