For one gloriously sunny day we were transported back to the Iron Age.
All of the children, and grown-ups, had an amazing time. We did some wattling, we built clunch walls and we made Iron Age rings and bracelets.
Linking in with our topic this year on the Celts and Romans, we were lucky enough to see inside a real Celtic Roundhouse and Roman Villa. These had been recreated with fantastic attention to detail, giving the children a first hand view at what these dwelling would have been like to live in.
