Tickets will go on sale on Friday 11th November and will be £80 each; this will include a 3 course meal, a live auction and plenty of fun and dancing. As well as raising money for our fantastic school we will also be donating to a charity of your choice.
Following the nominations received over the last few weeks you are now able to place your vote for the charity that you would like to receive our support:
Charity Name | Overview |
---|---|
Little Roo Neonatal Fund | Charity to raise vital funds for the neonatal intensive care unit at St.Peter’s Hospital, Chertsey. Cares for sick full term babies and premature babies. |
Canine Partners | Canine Partners provides assistance dogs to people with even complex disabilities to help them lead a more normal life. They are based in Midhurst and do amazing work to train dogs and match them with people looking for more independence, companionship and confidence. |
Max Windle Memorial Trust | Max Windle took his own life last year in lockdowns at age 16 and the trust was set up in his memory. They support local mental health for teens and young adults. Max Windle went to Pennthorpe from Beehive to Year 3. Supporting the charity in his memory would be a lovely tribute. |
The Trussell Trust | Four million children live in households that have experienced food insecurity in the past month, and with the cost of living crisis, this number is only going to increase. |
Make A Wish | Over 60,000 children in the UK have been diagnosed with a critical condition, changing their lives and the lives of their families forever. For them, the joy of childhood is brought to an abrupt end, with treatment plans, hospital visits and sleepless nights taking over. Make a wish revives a childhood stolen by critical illness. It brings light and joy to children and their loved ones and leaves a profound and lasting impact on all their lives. The families and children of Pennthorpe are incredibly lucky and privileged to lead the lives they do. Not everyone is that lucky. Especially as we are entering a cost of living crisis, providing support where we can is critical. There are families within our community that need support. |
Dreamflight | Supporting children just like ours but with serious illnesses giving them a once in a lifetime experience. |
Cancer Research | 1 in 2 people are touched by cancer, without the support of the general public they cannot continue their research into treatment and cures. |
Cardiac Risk in the Young | In memory of Pennthorpe pupil Ariana. |
Special Care Baby Unit - At The Royal Surrey Hospital | Our local SCBU which has no doubt looked after many babies that now attend Pennthorpe School. They play an amazing role providing specialist neonatal care for tiny and premature babies. |
