The Friends of Pennthorpe have organised a collection as part of the Salvation Army Christmas Present Appeal.
You can help us spread the joy of Christmas to families whose children would otherwise not receive a gift. This year, we are expecting the number of families requesting help to rise as a result of the cost of living crisis. ~The Horsham Salvation Army are particularly keen to receive donations for presents for children age 9 upwards, as well as donations of adult toiletry gift sets to give to parents, and chocolate gift selection packs (no nuts). Suggested gifts for children in this older age catergory include, games and toys, stationery, DVDs, books, t-shirts, hair accessories, gloves, scarves, hats, make-up and toiletries (please try to ensure non-allergic ingredients if possible), and gift vouchers.
All gifts need to be new and unwrapped. The gifts will then be wrapped by the Salvation Army and distributed to those in need.
