Introducing our wonderful ‘Anti-Bullying Ambassadors’ that form this academic year’s ‘Anti-Bullying Team’. With representatives in each year, ranging from Year 1 to Year 8, voted in by their peers, promoting and championing kindness at Pennthorpe.

From Monday 14th November to Friday 18th November Pennthorpe hosted a whole week themed around Anti-Bullying. Kicking off with odd socks and culminating in the formation of this new Anti-Bullying team. The Anti-Bullying Alliance sets aside a whole week each year dedicated to Anti-Bullying with this year’s theme being ‘REACH OUT’. Whether it’s in school, at home, in the community or online, children are encouraged to reach out and show each other the support we may all need from time to time.

On Tuesday 15th November the whole school came together for a Huddle and we discussed this idea of reaching out and being an upstander, not a bystander. The whole school them designed a hand print which will become part of our very own Anti-Bullying mural (watch this space)!

The whole week was absolutely fantastic, the buzz around the school was wonderful to behold.
