This week the U13A boys produced their best performance of the season so far! They showed resilience and ambition against a physically bigger Cottesmore side, to win 45-15. Bravo! Our U10 & U11 boys played Longacre in both contact and touch fixtures. The communication and collaboration between players was clear to see, and both Sam F and Sam W impressed with try saving tackles at crucial times of the game.

For our girls, the U13A team travelled to Duke of Kent for a hard fought netball match. There were wonderful passages of play with all the girls putting in 100% effort. Great shooting by Saskia, Eleanor and Rosie, who scored 21 goals between them, some from tricky angles. Some great defence from the girls made the opposition work hard for their goals. The U11 girls had a tough game against Barrow Hills but were determined throughout, and showed great teamwork. There was some great passing and the girls progressed well throughout the game, with Olivia showing great timing off the ball.

Our U9 boys played a contact match against Longacre this week; for some this was their first experience of contact rugby. Much like the Crowded House tune, we had rain and sleet, it blew a gale, then sunshine to finish! The boys tackled low, found space well and plenty of tries were scored. Our U8 boys too showed excellent resilience, battling the elements against a strong Longacre team. There was a real sense of positivity and some excellent tries scored. The highlights of the afternoon were Oliver H beating four defends with a darting run to score in the corner, and Sam M making up 15 yards to make a try saving tag!

Our U8 & 9 girls had two great netball games against Barrow Hills. Linking the ball nicely down the court, they showed great team work and collaboration, and supported each other well. Great play from young sports women who are progressing steadily and showing great promise.
