The children have really loved the story of ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ this week, and all of the activities that we’ve done that have been inspired by the book.

The children painted some beautiful butterflies, which look fabulous on our display board.  They have also talked lots about what the caterpillar ate, which inspired them to make some delicious fruit kebabs of their own! We have also enjoyed playing in the mini beast sensory tray and making bugs out of clay 🐛.

As we’ve enjoyed some glorious weather this week,  the Honey Potters have enjoyed lots of wonderful woodland walks. We looked under logs for different insects, and listened so carefully and quietly that we even heard a woodpecker busy pecking the Pennthorpe trees!
