Year 3 went outside and collaborated in pairs to measure a variety of objects. They used metre sticks and rulers and chose which objects they wanted to measure. Then they converted their measurements into m and cm, and some even wrote their measurements as a decimal!
Meanwhile, pupils in Year 4 are extending their knowledge and understanding of decimals and fractions, and the links between these number systems. They not only enjoy using apparatus and games to support their lessons, but it really helps them deepen their conceptual understanding and embed their learning.
