This week in Reception the children have been looking at ways to represent different teen numbers and how they are composed. The children have created pictures of Numicon cities whereby they have used varying pieces of Numicon to design a skyline. The children are beginning to understand that teen numbers are made up of 1 group of ten and ones.
Today is Fabulous Farmer Day and the children have designed their own tractors and we discussed 3D shapes as they created their tractors; looking at their properties including the number of sides, faces and corners. The children thoroughly enjoyed learning through experience!
