After studying Kipling’s ‘If’, our Year 6 students planned, wrote and performed their own versions based on being a Pennthorpe Pupil. The used figurative language, symbolism and emotive language to great effect and were rightly proud of what they produced. Some examples from Mr Marler’s group are seen here. Mrs Evan’s group will be writing their own ‘Just So’ stories which will be shared on the blog in a couple of weeks time!

‘If’ Year 6 Were Poets!
This week the Year 6 pupils have been studying Rudyard Kipling's famous poem 'If' this week and had a go at writing their own versions.
The messages in these poems really do show what it takes to be a Pennthorpe Pupil! The children should be incredibly proud of their poems and themselves.Mr Marler, Assistant Head, Academic
