We are always delighted to hear the successes of our children outside of school and this weekend was no exception. Year 5 girls Olivia, Aurelie, Anaya and Becca participated in the Ron Easton Hockey Tournament (West), hosted at Hurst College, representing Horsham. The four girls all played a big part in Horsham’s victory to go through to the Sussex finals, next weekend.
They were all on fire, with awesome defending skills from Aurelie, midfield play by Anaya and Becca and Olivia scoring 8 goals for the team to be officially unbeaten in all five games and go into the final.
They played Brighton in the final, having just beaten them 2-0, which ended up going to rather exciting sudden death penalty shuffles, with both Anaya and Becca scoring to take the win.
