The Year 6 students have been studying Rock’n’Roll music over the past few weeks. They have been learning about its history, and how Rock’nRoll songs are all based on the same chord structure – ‘the 12 bar blues’. The classes can play the 12 bar blues chords on the keyboards, and they are also doing really well with a walking bass part.
They have started learning the Chuck Berry song ‘Johnny B. Goode’, and watched a clip of the song being sung in one of Mrs Golchin’s favourite films – ‘Back to the Future’.
