It’s officially Moving Up Day! As each child from Honey Pot to Year 8 look to their future at Pennthorpe, the whole school today have embraced their new chapter. Moving Up Day gives our children the opportunity to sample their new routines before the new academic year commences. The day has largely been focussed on spending time with new Tutors, subject teachers and classmates, and getting to grips with new topics and subjects that come with their imminent move to the next year group.
The day was wrapped up with a whole school huddle hosted by Mr Murray as he reflected on what a typical year at Pennthorpe looks like; action-packed, full of learning opportunities, friendships and a plethora of experiences both inside and outside the school setting. The excitement in the Sports Hall, this afternoon, was palpable as we welcome lots of new starters, too.
