They started by looking at renewable and non-renewable ways in which electricity is generated, and spent some time exploring electrical appliances and electrical safety.

Following this, they enjoyed some “hands on” practical Science: building their own circuits with different electrical components and recording these as circuit diagrams. They have tested a range of materials to find out if they are electrical conductors or insulators and they have concluded their topic by investigating how to make an effective switch using everyday classroom equipment.
