The children enjoyed a morning of activities including “On the Ration” (cooking rationing recipes), “Make Do and Mend” (re-using old fabrics to sew into something new), and “Interviewing a Veteran” (asking questions to Mrs. Beaven’s mother, trying to get a sense of what it was like to be there).
During the afternoon, the children put on a performance for their parents, before sampling some of their own excellent cooking during our VE Day street party celebration.
