This is a cause which is very important to our Pennthorpe community and was in support of Diabetes UK, a fantastic charity who support those living with diabetes and fund the research which is transforming the lives of everyone affected by diabetes. This research can help to support has already made treatment more effective, affordable and moves us closer to a cure.
The children wore blue and took part in activities and targeted sessions aimed at raising awareness of diabetes and helping them develop their understanding of diabetes and the impact it has on individuals and their families. For example, reading a story about a little girl who had diabetes (click here) and lots of crafting and face painting!
