Three different varieties of tomatoes were examined to highlight desirable features such as colour, texture, size and the number of seeds. The class then discussed selective breeding to enhance these features and looked at recreating the work of Darwin by investigating the most advantageous beak shape by using different types of food and model beaks (tweezers).
