The pupils went down on the courts and measured the time taken to walk 10m first slowly, then quickly, jogging, sprinting and even hopping. The times we then used to calculate the speed of each activity.
It was then time for the ‘Fruit Olympics’ in the Darwin Lab! Which was the fastest fruit? The children recorded the time taken for different fruits to roll down a ramp, repeated each fruit 3 times and found the mean. This was done to improve the accuracy of our results. The jury is still out as to which fruit was the fastest!!
