Looking for some white sand beaches, lagoons, and idyllic sceneries? Look no further and let Moana 2 show you the beauty of Tahiti, in French Polynesia. The culture and Polynesian legends are the basis of the screenplay. You too can learn traditional Polynesian dancing, called ‘ori Tahiti or learn how to sail across the ocean like Moana on a Va’a to travel between over 100 French Polynesian islands. Another character Maui, the powerful semi-god, has many tattoos that describe his own personal history.: this is part of a tradition that still thrives in Tahiti so is the legend of Te Fiti inspired by Polynesian interpretation of the creation of the world. This would be ideal for Year 5 children who worked on Tahiti at the end of last half term.
