In Beehive the children have been learning about rare animals. To raise some money to support the WWF they have been busily making bird feeders and wildflower seed bombs to sell on Friday. The children mixed lard/coconut oil with bird seeds and oats to make fat balls. They made seed balls with compost, flour and bee friendly wildflower seeds and made little bird feeders by threading cereal hoops onto pipe cleaners.

The children also got messy in the garden planting new herbs to add to mud pies in the summer!

This week the Beehive children have also enjoyed using their new fine motor journals and have loved having their own books with new pens, stamps and stickers to practice fine motor skills.
