The children have been learning about the Victorians, so they were excited to experience a day in the life of Victorian children! Before they left, they wrote letters of application to Mr Beesley, the Butler at Preston Manor. Each child either applied for oddman, fourth maid, kitchen maid or footman. Then they headed back in time to Preston Manor, where they completed a range of tasks, hoping to impress Ada the maid! They tidied bedrooms, washed clothes, beat rugs, prepared food and drinks. Ada was very impressed and ended up hiring 4 children! They loved their immersive experience.
