Thanks to the incredible generosity of our Pennthorpe community, we successfully collected and donated a huge number of outgrown school shoes, trainers, and football boots to The Baobab School in Kenya. These shoes will go to children who need them most, ensuring they can walk to school, play, and learn in comfort.
This initiative is especially meaningful to us, as The Baobab School was built by the grandmother of Year 3 Pennthorpian, Teddy. It’s a truly special connection, and we’re so proud to be able to support this incredible school.
During half-term, Teddy and his mum, Lucy, travelled to Kenya to personally deliver the donations from our September 2024 and January 2025 collections. Their visit was a wonderful opportunity to see first-hand the impact of your kindness and generosity.
We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who contributed. Your support has made a real difference, and we are so grateful.
