Year 1 have been fantastic during their phonic lessons and have been exploring some tricky set three sounds! The children have been working on the split sounds ‘a-e, i-e, o-e, u-e and e-e’ so they can translate this into their writing. As an extra challenge they have been answering comprehension questions about their stories and to stretch their learning further can they think of questions about the book for their peers!
They have found it a challenge but have preserved and managed to spot the tricky sounds in many books and even used words in their writing with those sounds.
