Pennthorpe sits within a beautiful 25-acre site with extensive facilities and 16 acres of luscious woodland. We make the most of our rather amazing surroundings and are pleased to be an integral part of the village of Rudgwick on the Sussex/Surrey border.
We describe the site as being ‘tardis-like’ as it is so much more extensive than you could imagine from the roadside façade of the grand Victorian house. Within the grounds you will find our superb teaching facilities, carefully tended sports fields, numerous gardens and play areas, in addition to the fabulous woodland
“Matches at Pennthorpe are always a delight. Cricket is my favourite, up on the fields, followed by an excellent match tea to de-brief on the match highlights.”Mrs C, Parent

“I love all the nooks and crannies there are at school. It feels like there’s always a perfect place to go. You might find me climbing a tree with friends if I’m feeling energetic, snuggling up in the library with a good book if I want to be lost in my imagination, chatting with my besties in conker corner, relaxing and engrossed in my latest project in the art studio, or playing chess on the terrace if I want a brain work out.”Year 8 pupil and deep thinker
