The children started with a good, old-fashioned game of ‘Consequences’, when they had to write a suitable ending for each sentence opener, making sure they used subordinating conjunctions. Some of the more amusing sentences included; “Snow White ran through the dark forest because she was desperate for the loo!” and “Little Bo Peep was sad although her shepherds’ pie tasted delicious”.
Then, in their Science lessons, the children began learning about producers and consumers, predators and prey. They started to construct their own food chains and will be continuing this work in the coming sessions.
