The children’s learning is covered by an overarching topic which they study for the term. For Year 3 their current topic is “Underground, Overground”, while for Year 4 it is “What Have the Romans Ever Done For Us?”. The children’s weekly timetables vary and this flexibility enables the different curriculum subjects to be interwoven with clear links established between the different areas of learning. Skills learnt in one subject can be used to support and enhance learning in another subject.
All the children are working collaboratively towards a grand end-of-term finale when parents will be invited in to school to see the results of their studies. Year 3 will be going “Out Of This World” on Wednesday 29th November, with Year 4 creating a pop-up “Roman Museum Experience” for parents on Friday 1st December. We hope you will come along and join us to celebrate the children’s Creative Curriculum learning!
