Yesterday, the girls were invited to a day of hockey at Roedean. The day involved a variety of different sessions all based around hockey. Beginning with some indoor hockey, with a focus on strength and conditioning in the gym, followed by a skills session and game play. The day was topped off by an inspirational talk delivered by Helen about her drive to success and winning two Olympic medals.
It was a great day and hugely advantageous towards the girl’s development in hockey. They all left with a clear understanding, underpinned by Helen’s inspiring talk, that if they work hard enough, they will succeed in whatever they want to achieve.
