The Reception to Year 2 children completed their Spelling Competitions in their classes using Read Write Inc sounds. The results were fantastic and it is clear we have some excellent linguists coming through Pre Prep!
Years 3-5 did their first round tests in their classrooms with three children from each year group qualifying for the Live Final at 1100! Representing Year 3 were Bertie, James and Timmy with Bertie winning after spelling every single word correctly. Our Year 4 winner was Freya after a Sudden Death Spell Off! Cameron and Charlie also qualified for the Year 4 Live Final with brilliant scores in Round 1. Year 5 saw a thrilling final between James , Anaya, Olivia and Callum. After a three-way Spell Off using a Sudden Death World List, Olivia was crowned the overall Year 5 winner.
A massive well done to all the children who chose to enter the competition, to our our 10 finalists and our three winners; a brilliant morning of spelling was had by all!
