An incubator has been set up in the Science Lab in the hope of hatching some ducklings.
Mrs Gilmour explained the process of ‘candling’ and the children looked at each individual egg to see how well they were developing. The incubator has been set at 37.5 degrees, water is kept in a well to keep the eggs hydrated, and the incubator shakes every 45 minutes to imitate what the duck’s mother would be doing.
The class cannot wait until they hatch!
