The students measured the width, depth and velocity of the river at four different points.

Year 8 had a great time, working together and showing not only outstanding knowledge, but incredible humour and respect to those around them and their environment. Given the weather conditions, resilience was definitely on display throughout!

They learnt a huge amount about rivers and how fun learning outside of the classroom can be. Also, the importance of waterproof trousers and checking your wellies for leaks before you get in a river!
