Year 1 has been using their Creative Curriculum time to explore the Carnival topic, conduct Science experiments, and discuss PSHEE.
The class learned about the Holi festival and created their own powdered paint masterpieces. In Science, the children explored the importance of handwashing by conducting an experiment with pepper and water to see how it reacted to clean and dirty hands.
In PSHEE, the children role-played making emergency phone calls and learned how to care for pets and babies.
These hands-on activities allow the children to learn by actively engaging with the material.
