The children had to start by choosing a problem or issue they wanted to try and resolve. Then they had to collaborate to come up with potential solutions and create a prototype, an advertisement and a jingle to advertise their product. Finally, this week the teams presented their ideas to a panel of judges.

All our children have done amazingly well, showing tremendous creativity, communication and collaboration; the judges were hugely impressed and had a serious challenge selecting the winners from such a strong field.

Nonetheless, we are delighted to announce:

  • Best Model: Aurelie, Charlotte, Bertie and Arabella
  • Best Advert and Jingle: Rebecca, William, Dominic and Oliver
  • Commended: Callum, Sammy, Max and Peyton; Sophie, Charlie, Noah and Elise
  • Winners: Anaya, Paige, Bella and Timmy

The school’s winning team will now need to make a 2 minute video about their world changing idea to submit to 8 Billion Ideas and the Lions to be judged. They will then be involved in the virtual National Awards Day.

We would like to thank once again the Billingshurst Lions for giving our children this wonderful opportunity. Also, huge thanks go to you, the parents, for sending in your recyclable items so our children had a great selection to choose from when making their prototypes.
