The Discovery Day will run alongside our Open Morning for prospective families, and we ask you to support us in showcasing Pennthorpe to our visitors.
What to Expect:
- Interactive Workshops: Participate alongside your child in hands-on activities that highlight our innovative curriculum.
- Masterclasses: Learn from our staff as they demonstrate the enriching educational experiences available to our pupils.
- Performances: Enjoy being entertained by our pupils as you move around the school and there may even be a little bit of magic!
This event is a fantastic opportunity for our school community to gather and get hands on with your children.
All families are welcome to participate in two activities during the morning. Detailed information about each session can be found in the Discovery Day overview. Each session will be tailored to suit all age groups, ensuring that families with children in different year groups can enjoy the activities together. This approach aims to create an inclusive and engaging experience for everyone.
Children in Year 5 and 6 are scheduled to be in school for their play rehearsal, which provides an excellent opportunity to showcase our Performing Arts programme to both current and prospective families. They will have a break mid rehearsal when children have the chance to participate in one of our Discovery Day activities.

What you need to know:
- All pupils from Reception to Year 8 are invited to attend with their families.
- Nursery will open for children registered at Honey Pot and Beehive, to allow you to partake in activities without a toddler in tow.
- Refreshments will be available.
- Children are asked to wear school uniform or sports kit dependent upon the workshops they are attending.
- Parents, Grandparents, family members are invited too.
- Please note that pupils should not attend the event without an adult family member, except for those in Year 5 and Year 6.
