On Tuesday, June 18th, five children from Year 5, 6, 7 and 8 made a team and embarked on an exciting visit to Cottesmore School, in West Sussex, to participate in one of their inaugural competitive away eSports fixtures. The event featured two engaging disciplines: Minecraft Capture the Flag in a 5 vs. 5 format and Rocket League in a 3 vs. 3 setup. The Pennthorpe team embraced the challenge, with very little practice in school ahead of the event, and were raring to compete.
After a full day, the Pennthorpe eSports team delivered remarkable performances; particularly in Rocket League, where they advanced to the knockout rounds. The day was a memorable and enriching experience for everyone involved.
