Application Process
The children are invited to submit their application in three different ways, each application should include the following: what they love about this particular subject, why they would like to be a Prodigy in the subject, what they do outside of school associated with this subject, how and why they think they would be a positive role model and what they would like to achieve in the subject during their time at Pennthorpe and beyond.
Conditions
Each application that is submitted will only be used as a prompt and stimulus for the Prodigy chat between the Head of Department and the child. All children who apply will be assessed during the Observation Stage focussing on evidence that the pupil is gifted or talented in their chosen subject and working considerably above age-related expectations. Evidence that the pupil is passionate about and committed to their selected subject and that the pupil would be a positive role model within the subject.
