A round up of the boys’ matches…
- The U13As and Bs played against Belmont on the Astro turf on the top fields. The U13As had a close game against Belmont with the score being 3-1 to Belmont with Freddie with the standout performance especially when it was his first time in goal.
- After the U13As played, the U13Bs played their game with a hard-fought game against Belmont with Thomas with a man of the match performance with great work rate round the pitch.
- U11s all travelled away to Belmont where the U11As and Bs played on their astro turf and the U11 Cs and Ds played in their sports hall. The U11As had a very close game against Belmont U11s, with being 3-1 down at half time, they came back and won the game 6-3 at the end of the game with James standing out with his work rate round the pitch. The U11Bs then played their game against Belmonts U11Bs and they came out victorious 4-0 and Will with the standout performance. In the sports hall, U11Cs first played their game and they came out on top with a 8-2 win with notable performance from Callum for scoring 4 goals. Then the last game of the day was a very close game with both teams having a lot of chances but the game ended in a 2-2 draw with Harry with superb positioning throughout the game and scoring the 2nd goal for his team.
- The U8/9s played against Belmont this week. All teams performed with great passion and intensity throughout the games, with Joe and Frankie standing out with their performances.
And for the girls….
- The girls had their first football fixtures of the term against Great Ballard. The U13s were at home and had very exciting game with the result being an 8-1 against Great Ballard, being the perfect way to start their season and Tamara had a really good performance as she was holding her position and making some strong tackles.
- The U11s travelled away to Great Ballard and had very exciting games against them with them drawing their game with Abbey with a standout performance as her defending was superb.
- The U10s played 2 great games. A confident 3-0 win, with superb teamwork from all. We drew against the slightly tougher side, but showed determination throughout. The girls showed no fear in their play; going for every ball and tackling at every opportunity.
- The U8/9s travelled to Duke of Kent for their first football fixture. They were both hard fought games and was a good way to start the football season.
