This week, Summer in Year 5 brought in an amazing emu egg to show to the group (she has 4 emus at home!).
Also this week, Mrs Gilmour has brought in her incubator and 2 sets of duck eggs so that we can try to hatch a brood in the Lab!
Eggciting times in the Lab...
This week, Summer in Year 5 brought in an amazing emu egg to show to the group (she has 4 emus at home!).
Also this week, Mrs Gilmour has brought in her incubator and 2 sets of duck eggs so that we can try to hatch a brood in the Lab!
We have visits planned in for the different year groups to come up to the lab and be involved in 'candling' the eggs to check on their development and also asking Mrs. Gilmour...our eggspert...any questions that they have. Hopefully the eggs will be hatching in the last week of term in time for Easter! We are also hoping to set up a webcam to watch the eggs develop in the incubator as well as the hatchlings once they appear.Mr Shaw, Head of Science
