The Year 5 class completed 8 mathematical challenges, which included identifying the missing jewel from a matching set, using a fragment of a map to identify the robbers hideout, scrutinising a list of suspects, decrypting a coded message and using a railway timetable to finally intercept the gang of robbers, retrieve the stolen jewel and solve the crime! The levels of collaboration, communication and fun in the room were high and all of Year 5 did amazingly well with 2 groups correctly solving the crime.
