George recited ‘Demain dès l’aube’ by Victor Hugo and Vincent performed ‘Le dormeur du val’ by Arthur Rimbaud. In addition to memorising challenging poems, both boys wrote a presentation and learned that off by heart too. They spoke to the judges about their favourite holidays using a wide range of structures and GCSE level language. Madame Parker was incredibly proud of them and the judges gave them lots of praise for their performances and both boys were complimented on their French accents. Vincent was even awarded second place.
