It was a very hot day but the pupils performed well and did themselves and the school proud. There were over 20 schools at the competition so the standard was high. The top two athletes from each event went through to represent Sussex at the National Schools Final. Pennthorpe had some outstanding performances from the following students:
Finn – 3rd in both U14 100 & 200m
Jonny – 3rd U12 800m
Freddie – 4th U14 Boys 300m (*New School Record)
Niamh – 4th U12 Girls 800m (*New School Record)
All the students should be very proud of their performances and it was a fantastic experience for all involved.
