The Year 1 children have been learning about place value in Math’s and exploring tens and ones. They have also been practicing really hard to complete the stages for the Rainbow Math’s Award or Timetables awards, Miss Goddard and Miss O’Reilly can really tell they have been practicing over the Christmas break.
In English the children have been exploring suffixes such as ‘er’ and ‘est’ and have written a recount all about their Christmas holiday adventures.
Year 1 are also so excited to begin their Carnival topic and look forward to exploring The Notting Hill Carnival next week!
