After 10 minutes of a weekly guided meditation, the Year 7 children are studying the National Theatre’s smash hit production which focuses on the character Christopher who is autistic.
This play has generated some fantastic discussion so far, as the children consider how we all see and interpret the world differently. As the term progresses, the Year 7 students will be re-staging parts of the play using a range of techniques including vocal and physical theatre. They will also learn about technical aspects of the production and consider how staging, lighting and sound can create impact for the audience.
