WW2 Tea Dance

On 5th July, Year 4 travelled back in time once again to the era of the Second World War. They enjoyed a morning of activities including “On the Ration” (cooking rationing recipes), “Make Do and Mend” (re-using old fabrics to sew into something new) and “Put that Light Out!” (creating a board game to play in their Anderson shelters during an air raid).

During the afternoon they shared some of the amazing historical artefacts they had brought in from home for Show and Tell before finally joining together in a VE Day-style street party to sample their tasty baked treats.
