The children enjoyed a morning of activities including “On the Ration” (cooking rationing recipes), “Make Do and Mend” (re-using old fabrics to sew into bunting) and “Interviewing a veteran” (Mrs Beaven’s mother joined us for the morning to tell us what it was like to live through rationing and air raids).
During the afternoon, the Year 4 parent’s joined us for the Tea Dance. The children sang and we all enjoyed spam sandwiches and tea!
