The group estimated the population size of woodlice by using the ‘capture, mark, release and recapture’ technique. Then used quadrats, pH probes, light meters, thermometers and moisture probes to investigate the impact of trees on the surrounding habitat. They carried out a plant dissection, used a Tullgren Funnel and finished off by investigating the condition preferences of woodlice using a choice chamber.
